Milan Fashion Week highlights

Unfortunately the most exciting time in fashion industry is coming to an end as the last city hosted top designers on French runways. But until we head to Paris, I'd like to chat a little about the Italian fashion as some collections presented this month in Milan were out of this world! Below short recap of Milan Fashion Week.

Dolce & Gabbana

My favourite duo from Italy didn't let me down at all, their Spring/Summer 2017 Ready-To-Wear collection was simply stunning. As the designers later admitted, it was a nod to their Italian heritage. The atmosphere was quite funky as, apart from the models, Dolce & Gabbana hosted a group of dancers on their runway. The fashion show motif was Tropico Italiano.

In this review I would like to focus on details, because it's incredible how perfect is every single piece from the collection. From beautiful embroidered crowns and tiaras to fancy clutches and stilettos, Dolce & Gabbana took us on a magical trip among Italy. All the items are Italy inspired, you can even see the traditional symbols on fabrics.
Of course Dolce & Gabbana wouldn't be the same without the top model runway, including Sara Sampaio, Taylor Hill, Hailey Baldwin and Elsa Hosk. I am a huge fan of brand's iconic show ending, when the models show up all together before the designers appear on runway. You can watch the full show here.

Ermanno Scervino

Ermanno Scervino's latest collection proves that military doesn't necessarily equal army. His stunning lace pieces bring us back to the Maria Antoinette era, but they remain current and refreshing at the same time.

Designer decided to keep his Spring/Summer 2017 resort in subdued and pastel colours. It's all about the light fabrics. Scervino's women are natural and effortlessly elegant.

If I didn't know it was a Disquared2 collection, I'd actually think that Jeremy Scott had something to do with it. The collection is very fresh and funky, some rebellion motifs and bright colours make it very different from the previous resorts of the designer duet.

Bottega Veneta

Guess who's back? Do you recognise all the models above? Oh yeah, apart from our current it-girls, there are legends of the fashion world - Lauren Hutton and Eva Herzigova! Brilliant move Bottega Veneta!

Donatella wows us again. This sporty collection is all about strong and sexy women. Her model choice isn't an accident at all. Designer selected icons of the fashion industry that represent her and the brand perfectly.

Jeremy Scott is well known for his extravagant and vibrant ideas, he is never afraid of experimenting and that's why we all love him. This season he doesn't step back at all as he wows us with dare cartoon inspired collection. Check out the fairytale fashion show below and tell me, if these look familiar to you?

Alberta Ferretti

How stunning are those ruffle skirts and bohemian dresses? Alberta Ferretti's Spring/Summer Ready-to-Wear 2017 collection is everything that's in now! Lace? Checked. Boho belts? Checked. Violet? Checked. Fringe? Checked. That's an Italian one right there!
