Social Media Runway - Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2017 Menswear

As normally Dolce & Gabbana do not need any additional marketing around their shows, this time it's not their collection that everyone is talking about. In their latest Fall fashion show, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, have engaged digital influencers and social media stars to walk the runway in Milan.

Although their newest assortment is absolutely stunning (no surprise here), the discussion raised by the critics and fashionistas around the world, focuses mainly on the question, whether it was a right choice to pick the social media sensations as models. These guys are representative of millions of young people. We are not so young anymore. So it’s very interesting for us to try to understand what they love and don’t love. - said the designers.

I must admit, it was definitely a bold move and a massive advertising booster. Yet again, we have never witnessed that sort of fashion show, nor expected it from such a traditional brand like Dolce & Gabbana. To be honest, I would rather think that idea to could come from a more experimental fashion elite - John Galliano or Jeremy Scott for instance.

Anyhow, all the "models" looked absolutely amazing and I reckon, everyone who has watched the show, wanted to be a part of the millennial royalty. See some of my favourite looks above. The full show is available here.
