NYFW favourites

New York Fashion Week has kicked off with some major shows and some big names sitting in the front row. This season it's all about feminine statement looks, my favourites include Zimmermann, Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta and Prabal Gurung. Check out the runway winners and what's going to be your new wardrobe essentials.
Black is never a cliche when it comes to Alexander Wang. This time the designer decided to play a little bit with fabrics as his new collection contains of leather, lace and velvet mix. A Wang girl is confident, bold and sexy. Looks accessorised with statement shades portrait a high end city girl, who knows what she wants. This season's must have is definitely a reimagined little black dress in a pure Alexander Wang style.

Jonathan Simkhai goes off shoulder for his Fall 2018 collection. Very feminine looks with Victorian touches - tightly laced corsets over a bodice or chemisette, paired with skirts adorned with numerous embroideries and trims. There wasn't even one look on that runway that I wouldn't wear!

Prabal Gurung wows us with bright fuchsia and golden yellow as his runway is ran by top models in the industry. Elevated waistline, asymmetrical skirts and chunky jumpers put together with sequinned skirts, plus this season is all about the colour.

I was looking forward to see Ralph Lauren Spring 2018 collection the most. Inspired by designer's home in Jamaica, it literally makes you want to go on holiday all dressed up in Ralph. Light fabrics, romance between white and blue and barefoot models walking down the runway - aren't you convinced yet? Oh, and did I mention vacation theme soundtrack?

Zimmermann's bohemian plaids are made so beautifully that I can easily call this collection my absolute favourite this season. A mix of equestrian and aviator motifs, feminine meets masculine - from petite dresses and ruffles to oversize shearlings and capes. Not to mention the stunning autumn colour palette. Number one all the way.
